Moss

Moss is a low-growing, green plant that thrives in shady, poorly-drained areas. It is encouraged by low soil fertility, compacted soil and acidic conditions. Moss plants sprout from spores and fill in bare areas. It will not grow in a well-fed, vigorous lawn.
